CAR 31  What can we say ?

First in Class and Sixth Outright.  Hadrian and Adam well done.

An excellent way to end 2011. 

Car 13  Hmmmmmm !!!!!       Anyone recommend a good exorcist ? 

 At the end of Qualifying 2,  the alternator light came on. Not a problem we have a fully reconditioned spare.

Two and a half hours later , try it yourself, the new alternator is also faulty.

Lots of double checking to confirm, thanks West End Mazda, and we cannot beg borrow or steal a replacement.. 

The Eastern Creek 6 Hour Race is the Season Final for 2011

Practice and Qualifying have been mostly kind to us.

Car 13 has qualified 9th Outright and 1st in Class.  Our first class pole position in the Mazdas.

Car 31 has qualified 13th Outright and 4th in Class. Due to an oops in the second qualifying session, that's racing.

We look forward to a good end to our 2011 season of racing. 

Update Thursday 8th December 

Car 13 will be on the Track at Eastern Creek this weekend.

We will run the car in practice to establish it's suitability to compete along side Car 31 in the 6 Hour Race on Sunday.

After such a major renovation of the interior we need to make sure everything is perfect before taking a leisurely 6 Hour drive on Sunday.

Life will be tough for the drivers as the crew have also removed the Microwave and Expresso Machine from both cars as a result of the fire in Car 13.

At least the Bar Fridge is still there.

Saturday 26th November.

Car 13 is alive.

The car will take a shakedown cruise to Canberra this week and get the Motec System  re calibrated.

We are ready to race.

On Saturday,  20th November, the car started first kick. So far so good.

The boys just need to find out where all the leftover bits go. 

The repair of Car 13 is well under way and we are hopeful it will be ready for Eastern Creek in December.

It has been necessary to strip the front half of the car back to its birthday suit. With everything removed and the molten mess scraped off, the metalwork has been reproof coated.

The long process of replacing the wiring looms and dash is progressing.

We have a new team rule.

NO COOKING YOUR LUNCH IN THE CAR DURING THE RACE.
